Lucy qualified from University College London in 1990, spending her last year there as President of Dental Students.
After a year Vocational Training in Portsmouth, she joined the hospital service and worked for a number of years as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. During this time she took time out to backpack through South East Asia and scared herself silly bungee jumping in New Zealand.
She has also been part of a six week expedition into the rainforest of Guyana, South America. Travelling in a dug out canoe, the team provided medical and dental care to the indigenous Amerindians.
Lucy was awarded the Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgery in Glasgow in 1996, and achieved the title of Specialist in Oral Surgery in 2000. Lucy has worked in general practice in the York area since 1997 and undertakes all aspects of general dentistry, including referrals for Oral Surgery. Lucy aims to provide high quality care in a relaxed environment. Her calm, gentle approach is appreciated by her patients.
