Nitin Prasad
Practice Principal
It is our pleasure to announce that Nitin Prasad has taken over the running of The Red House Dental Practice.
Nitin joined the team in April 2015 before taking over the reins of the practice from Richard Marsden later that year.
Nitin qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2002, top of his year. He was the only student in his year to qualify with an Honours degree and Distinction in Clinical Dentistry. He was also awarded several undergraduate prizes including the prestigious Carlton Gold Medal as the most outstanding Dental Graduate. Since then he has worked in both General Practice and Hospital Dentistry gaining numerous post-graduate skills and qualifications along the way. In 2005 he was awarded the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has also subsequently completed a Diploma in Endodontology from the University of Chester. Nitin moved to North Yorkshire in 2006, and has worked in a number of practices in York and North Yorkshire since.
Nitin undertakes all aspects of general dentistry, but has a keen interest in Endodontic (root canal) treatment. As well as working in practice, he also worked part-time from 2006 to 2020 as a Specialty Dentist in Endodontics at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in Sheffield, treating patients referred in for complex root canal treatment. To this extent he is also happy to take referrals from local dentists for root canal treatment at the Red House Dental Practice. As well as working in practice, Nitin has now also taken on a role as a Denplan Practice Advisor.
Like the rest of the team at the Red House Dental Practice, Nitin prides himself on providing high quality dental care in a relaxed yet professional environment. With his wealth of experience and knowledge you can rest assured he will always place your dental health and well being at the forefront of your dental care.
When not busy in the surgery Nitin can be found entertaining his young family. Be sure to look out for their photos in the surgery. The tiny terrors are always up to something new, and Nitin is always more than happy to entertain you with their most recent exploits!
